I would like to write out a map of which value the ECU uses and when, but its kinda complicated - hopefully in the future

Suffice to say if you log all three (raw, baro, and baro+temp) then that should give you a better idea of what the ECU is doing...

However for the casual tuner raw is usually close enough

Just to clarfiy the value with the raw +baro&temp is what the ECU is actaully using for fuel and ign.

Right?

I saw one instance of that both today and yesterday while logging. The load variation was off by almost 20% so it had pushed the timing to the next cell and I was wondering why I had a 3* advance in my log when I should have been seeing a 5*. I ended up switching everything over though based on those instances and didnt bother to double check and see if I could replicate it again. I had set all 6 timing maps the same though just to make sure it wasnt an interpolation error and when David posted his log yesterday it got me thinking that maybe thats what I was seeing.

I dont have any disassembly to back up my claims just my observations.

kinda

basically:
for fuel the ECU either uses Load_Raw or Load_Baro_and_Temp - it would appear the condition is something todo with being in closed/open loop.

for timing: the ECU uses either Load_Baro or Load_Baro_and_Temp - it would appear it uses Baro_and_Temp when air_temp is less than 65(25*C) and only Baro when air_temp is greater than 65(25*C).

I could be 100% wrong thou

hmmm, that makes this even more confusing, lol.

I suppose load_baro_temp makes the most sense to use since it seems to be used by both timing and fuel sometimes. Which is not true for load_raw or Load_Baro which are used by on or the other but not both.

Interesting. I wonder if this is why my car tends to knock with cooler weather as opposed to the warmer weather? ECU looking at lower load cell, with more timing, but same boost as warm weather = knock?

yeah I had this discussion with eric, in warmer weather there is less air density thou - so I guess it evens out...

I have a 11 rom and added 2-byte in the MUT table. How would you add 6 to the MUT table?
