I'm a noob at ECU Flash and can't seem to get it going. I just installed the latest version (i think) on my laptop, and I got my tactrix cable. I plan on being able to switch between maps w/this program from my laptop, NOT for tunning or tinkering w/my maps for i'm not skilled in that area yet. My problem is when i open ECU Flash, i plug in my tactrix cable to the usb port, my computer detects Open Port 1.3 (i think), and i then plug the other side into my OBD port and then the white plug, and then......nothing I tried plugging it in w/the car off, and then w/the car on, still nothing. ECU flash doesn't see the ECU, and i can't read from my ECU or do anything w/ECU Flash. Am i doing something wrong? Do i need to reset the ECU 1st? Bad cable?

 

Turn the key to the "on" postition and then try reading your map. Does it time out or what?

Finally got it working, thanks My laptop hadn't downloaded the driver yet
