In order of importance....what's best to log w/ wideband?

What I've come up w/ so far...but I'm not sure what order of importance they should be in. (trying to decide on a wideband, and need to know what parameters people generally value to log. Once known I can decide on an Innovative LC1 or Zeitronix ZT2 package)

How would you order them?

?) Boost
? )AFR
?) EGT
?) Lambda
?) Knock (very confused by forum posts as to whether this can actually be done)
?) RPM
?) Vacuum
?) Throttle position

Evoscan takes care of Knock, RPM, TPS and a host of others.

The zietronix just logs RPM, Boost, Lambda, AFR, EGT, TPS on a nice GUI that makes analyzing easier.

Those what you have selected are just a few of the things you need to log.

boost and vacuum are not really necessary. iow a basic wideband and evoscan/mitsulogger is all you NEED to have. the number of loggable items is stunning.

I do log boost although 2byte load is the name of the game. In my case I went with innovate and use their openport program to log with, basically everything evoscan is plus gives whatever I might have added with the lma-3 (or other device) such as egr,- any sensors I connect.

in a nutshell, any wideband that evoscan can log with is suitable. if you want to add boost logging there are two methods. mrfred&his jdm stock boost gadget, or Zeitronics, innovate(with lma-3). many proponents for any of those choices.

btw, knock is relatively straight forward as logged, a little discernment is needed but easy enough.

lambda/afr are choices you make with your wideband software

To clarify, the gauge is nice, but secondary. I understand EVOSCAN/Mitsulogger can tap into many stock sensors. In my quest to pick a wideband I'm strictly interested in what additional things a wideband brings to the table to log. (Is logworks that big of a deal w/ EVOSCAN & Mitsulogger?)

I am having trouble figuring out if either basic unit come w/ the additional sensors to log EGT for example? What else? Or is it more that a given unit provides X amount of xtra inputs to attach additional sensors? (from my reading the base units may or may not have additional inputs to log additional sensors, but don't provide them. In fact, I don't even know where to purchase an EGT sensor or others.)

It seems the base ZT2 or LC1 is adequate to tune. Is there a general consensus to add 'X' sensor or another to achieve a safe/accurate tune?

I think I would go w/ ECU based boost control and logging w/ a JDM sensor.

You may be misunderstanding the nature of these products. Evoscan, Mitsulogger and Logworks are all datalogging software. They do not include any sensors. They utilize a cable (see tactrix) that connects to your OBDII port. They can log from sensors that are already in use by the ecu. The LC-1 wideband can be logged through Logworks. The ZT2 can log/display things other than AFR, I believe. But the essential reason for a wideband is to be able to measure your AFR. To tune you need to use ecuflash.
Most details you need can be found in this forum. I basically lurked around for six months on here and have developed a firm knowledge on how to tune the car.

Also check out the How To Tune an evo thread thats stickied in this forum. I wish it was there when I started doing this.

Thx FuelResearch. I believe we're on the same page though:

They can log from sensors that are already in use by the ecu.
When I said 'tap' I meant figuratively, not literally. No worries though. thx again.
