Most Used 2004 Evo Rom?

What is the most commonly used 2004 Evo rom? Anyone has a stock one to share with me?

Thanks

969420008 I believe it is...I have seen more of them than the 007 and 015. Could be coincidence though i guess. I should have one somewhere...I think I have your Email...let me go home and grab my lappy and I will look and if I do I will send one your way.

Can I ask why?

I just used Donour's 0008 file in my '04 in lieu of 0007 once I switched the stepper values. Seems to work fine so far... what's your beef, FuelsResearch?

Easy fellas.

NJ asked for a stock rom, I gave him a link. JB may have emailed him one as well.

Nothings wrong with it, the rom is apparantley very different from others....so patches, mods etc. tend to come out later or need more work to make them work.

Therefore, it has become a bit of a PITA.

Nahh I havent got a stock 0008 or7 anymore...they are all modded. I thinkI have a NLTS version but I wasnt sure if NJ wanted that or not. Thanks for the link Fuelie, I am sure it will help him out. The difference between the 0008 and 0007 doesnt seem to be like how the IX's are offset by 20 (hex) between the 13/14 and the 15 (i.e. 3ee62 or 3ee82).

Donour,

Do you know if your rom is the most commonly used one on 04 Evo 8s? I DLed from Aktive matrix. Now I want to see if there is such thing like ECU boost mod and 2 byte load for it. Do you know if there is?

thanks

I don't think so. There hasn't been much interest in the rom, even though it gets downloaded pretty often. I don't think anybody has gone throught and documented the differences. I started too one time, but got got distracted.

Off the top of my head, I don't see any reason why you can't just run an '03 rom that has all the work done on it already.

Actually, there are ecu boost control, jdmmap, tephra patch and 2 byte (load, airflow) available for this Rom. It takes a bit longer for these to be found, it seems, possible due to rarity and/or the fact that this ROM is a bit "different" than others. (To elaborate on differences would best be left to the dissasemblers).

On this rom I am using Tephra's patch, logging JDMMAP, using psi-boost control w/ GM 3-Bar (work in progress) and logging 2 byte load. The only other person I know with this rom is C6CH3vo.

As far as the most common on 04s, I don't know.

I was able to get 2byte load, ECU boost and ECU boost mods, JDMMAP. I do not use direct psi boost since it does not work with the pill. The only mod that I am missing is the 2 byte airflow. Anyone has it?

So you can use an 03 rom on an 04 Evo ECU?

EDIT: oh. I misread the question.

They are the same ECU unit, so yes I think so. I don't, but I don't see why you wouldn't want to.
