wow, that totally opened up my eyes, thanks for the post. pisses me off that they used the analog out, and not the digital out form the zeitronix unit. clearly not a fair test.

Wow that is a pretty big flaw in the test.

I'm not getting in the mix again ... both Innovate and Zeitronics make great products and both have their pros and cons. You really can't go wrong with either ...

edit: its funny - TTP is gungho about the zeitronix, so thats what they push, and obviously innovate pushes their's. innovate was highly involved with the testing in the posted article.

also - how did they determine the AEM's average latency with "no real logging capability" how do else would you measure latency without logging.
and what do they consider logging capability.
"Highly involved"- does that like mean that they conducted the test themselves, with their own methods and pay FordMuscle magazine for the advertising?

I would say that indeed, that is highly involved.

The test is bogus, they did not even use the zeitronix with the included software ZEITRONIX provides with their wideband. This test is a prime example of MANIPULATION and SELLING articles for $$$.

I am waiting for the day that a manufacturer/vendor says that the other unit is better than ours. THAT would be something to behold. Wouldn't hold my breath though.

No doubt. Let's just all be happy that widebands are readily available, accurate and cheap. You couldn't say that 10 years ago.

If we were like the rest of the world we would be using 5 gas analyzers anyway.

Is anybody really surprised that a test would be biased if one of the manufacturers is a sponsor of the same test? Come on. Needless to say though all three companies offer a fine piece of equipment at a reasonable price so buy the one you feel most comfortable with.

If a vendor felt that another product was better they would probably sell the better product. Vendors have the luxury of being able to choose which products they sell and if they feel a product to be truly inferior would hopefully not sell it. A manufacturer, on the other hand, would have to be a complete and total idiot to say their product is inferior unless their product is significantly less expensive.

Of course...

Without unbiased tests how does anyone really know? Especially vendors...

BTW I was not stating that what I proposed would really happen. Really more of a comment on the dogma.

QUICK, HURRY BEFORE INNOVATE EDITS THEIR OWN FORUM!

Here is some recent posts from innovate's own board. Countless RMAs, substandard hardware engineering stuff.
