Drag log for you guys to play with
Here is my first drag run from earlier today at Fontana. It was a 12.015 @ 114.97 with what felt like a good launch (slight spin, no bog), but it was only a 1.76. Same thing happened on run #2 with the same 60', so I think I might be tripping the light with my initial engagement roll before hammering it - not sure, though.
Botched the 2-3 shift with a hard buck, rear diff slam, and slight choke (my fault, not the car, the tune, or the spark) - this is reflected in the out-of-nowhere knock right after the 2-3 shift.
Timing is weak due to all the tweaking we've been doing this week with my spark issues, having lower grade E-70 instead of real E-85, and the abrupt change from 6000' to sea level right in the middle of it all. That's why all the timing is pretty low, but I want you guys to look at the airflow, timing, AFRs, and whatever else you can use to decipher things and provide suggestions. I don't have a problem this time, but I'm looking for suggestions on what you guys can find after some analysis. I plan to go back to Fontana in 2 weeks during the El Toro ProSolo weekend (Mar 28-30), so now that I have pure E-85 and a drag log, I'd like to make a near-sea-level+real E-85 drag kill tune.
1/8th - 7.71
MPH - 91.7
1/4 - 12.015
MPH - 114.97

Nice run for not being at your full potential. The Super Chevy event will be going on at Fontana in 2 weeks so unfortunately you won't be able to take another pass at that track until April.
How much boost?
Just from what I can see based on the baro and load, it looks like you are about 30psi or so maybe? Holding 21-22 to redline? The load is high for a stock turbo car so thats good, but E70 and like fuel seems to boost the load alot. I will spend some more time looking at it, but it seems like you should be able to get 2-3* more degrees by redline even on E70.

John, I'm estimating around 30psi peak at least on the road, but I'm not sure it's getting near that high on the track. I don't have a MAP sensor yet, so I can't log it, but when I do a 3rd gear pull on the highway stating at 3k rpm, it hits right around 29-30psi on my boost gauge. However, I have not done a pull yet all the way to 7k rpm in public, so I don't know what the taper point is. Your guess of 21-22psi would be my guess, too. I wasn't looking at my boost gauge at the end of 4th on the strip, but I should have been.
I am now on full E-85 and will be from now on, so I'd like to tune accordingly.

It seems that E85 likes 20* or so by redline...maybe more if the car doesnt seem to being losing power (you can follow it by load taper). On the street they will run 0* or so at peak boost and then taper up to redline.

Interesting. We kept getting knock on spoolup and peak boost, but based on what you said, that was due to trying to get 5-6* of timing at peak boost like on good gas. Maybe that's why. We have since reduced the timing quite a bit down low, but we haven't brought it up that much as rpms increase. You can see I don't get up above 11* until I hold 4th all the way to 7500. At redline (7k), I'm way lower than 20* in all the gears.

Pearsons Ford alternate fuel station in San Diego on El Cajon street. I think it's the only one in the area.
In the Springs, Chief is known to be consistent, but I am not sure any CO shops have a sign saying "minimum 85% ethanol" on the pump like the one here in SD.
Tobz, I didn't get that log, since my laptop ran out of juice.

Yes, Al can help, but I'm not really asking for "help." Like I said, I have no problem to "fix," but I was interested in what everyone thought. It's more of a community interaction/analysis thing.
I see your fuel trims are still out of whack. I know you are going to add some latency later, but just wanted to mention it.
Other than that, it looks like you are ready to build some sort of heat shield for your air filter. 200* intake temps are a bit high, although I heard higher intake temps help a bit with E-85.

Interesting on the intake temps - I wasn't sure if those were accurate or not, since it was nice and cool in the 60s.
I had thought the fuel trims were getting better, since we've made a lot of changes to the latency. What's still wrong?
