exhaust pop when engine braking. What's the cause?
I noticed that when I'm engine braking, i.e. slowly letting go of the throttle after over 70% throttle applying, sometimes there's small popping sounds from the exhaust. Is this a lean or rich condition? Or is it normal? Is there anything to change with the flash needed? Thanks.
It's normal.
You're going rich because the throttle body is closing and metered air isn't making it into the engine.
Typically when you lift off, you go rich momentarily, and then fully lean

The girls love rice rockets that pop.
