evoscan calculate hp/tq

evoscan calculate hp/tq

how accurate is it? can I use this as a base once the correct settings are entered for vehicle type?

Evoscan is so-so as far as HP calcs. It's not very consistent and has a lot of peaks and dips if your not on a very smooth road. You get a "rough" idea of a powercurve, but repeatability is not there. If you want a good HP/TQ calculator, get Datalog labs. I love it. The consistency is much better and you can factor in more variables to make a more accurate reading.

Are you talking about the one that logs or just calculates? The one that is incuded as a logging function is pretty close if you dont mind dynojet numbers. 2-3whp and 5-10 ft lbs.

I think I'd asked before, but I still can't figure out what are the mandatory logs used by evoscan to calc hp/tq. Sometimes I have 1 "Acceleration Runs Found" and sometime none at all. Weird?
