options for 96420008 roms

Hey guys, I am wondering if there are any options for us evos that are using the 96420008 rom. Of all the roms used it seems to be that this rom is the one that has the least support in terms of patches. Is there a way to use a different rom? I would really love to try the series of tephra pathes. In the tephra patch post it says coming soon in terms of development but I would like to have this stuff in my car for the summer considering that this is the time of year I really play with my car the most.

thanks guys

I used the 94170015 and disabled the immobilizer code. thats pretty much your only option now.

Give me a week or so and I will update your rom definition to have all of the current map discovery. Just need the spare time to do it all. Cant help with Tephra's patches but I can update the maps.

PM me your current XML.

JohnBradley modded my 96420008 rom for my 04. I have Valet mode, 1 speed knock CEL, and NLTS. He charged me a very reasonable amount in my opinion since I dont feel comfortable touching anything in .xml.

Its a lil different then then the tephra patches tho. I was more then pleased with his work and contact.

I was really hoping for the 5.10 support which it looks like tephra is working on.

Thanks tephra!

guys, there is no need to wait. simply disable the immobilizer for the time being until tephra has time.

Add this to your ROM's XML file and change the value from 56DA to 56D2.

<table name="ECU Periphery0" category="Misc" address="faa" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

I did this sucessfully in my car.

Mine was 96420008 with original EcuFlash. The next version (1.27) and up it was 96420007 which has a little more support than 0008.

Have the 2 byte addresses but dont care to use them anymore. Was lucky enough however to get one of Tephra's custom prototype patches back in the infant stages of patchwork though (it fully opens my DV at preset knock and CEL flash), and have been using that every drive for about a year now. (Still enjoying the patch man)
