Possible BOV issue?

Background: Evo 8 with ported Evo IX turbo, mishmash IC piping and substandard couplers (one actually blew a hole right out of the side of the coupler)and crappy intercooler. 24 psi, 11.5:1 AFR, peak load was only 260ish. Car made 250hp/280ftlbs, and was very knock prone even with 2 deg timing peak torque and 11 degrees up top. We fixed everything we could from the couplers, but load numbers remained very low and turbo outlet airtemps were probably the cause of low timing and knock. The only thing I can think to cause this would be the recirculated synchronic BOV is leaking back into the intake. I didn't get a chance to test it on the dyno, but I think I am going to get with the owner and try a few things before I completely give up on the car. Here's a screenshot from a log (I wish I had been logging 2 byte airflow):

Seem a little of low load for 24psi?

my loads for 24psi are 260 peak, tapering to 220 redline (19.5psi)...

off topic you need 1byte load mod - stop those troughs :P hehe

Typically, I've been seeing almost 300 load from the evo 8's and over 300 on the 9's. This just seemed anemic to me.

I actually need a few things from you at some point, but I'll let you know when I get my car running again.

Wow, that screwy looking. I have that Dual Port BOV that doesnt leak at all, and is in good shape. If you would like to borrow it from me to see if thats the problem I'm cool with it. If he need a new one I'll let it go for cheap, I have your stocker thats working wonderfully.

Also, I could be wrong about this but you could try hooking the BOV up so its routed backwards. I have heard that this will allow it to hold pressure better, but will mess up the turbo after prolonged use. Try it, if not give me a call. I'll PM you number

Thanks for the offer, James. I'm actually going to try what the synchronic guy posted in this thread from today:

Maybe this will help.

You see 300 or over load with 24psi?

Never seen that.
