Evoscan Request Numbers

I have a question hopefully the more clever people can answer for me.

What exactly does the request number in Evoscan refer to. Is it from the MUT table location? Just trying to do a bit more disassembly and tracking down what is being logged while at the same time being a complete dumbass.

Its the MUT request, a single byte hex value sent to the ECU, but yes, its values from that MUT Table in the rom. Mitsulogger does the same thing.

If you haven't already signed onto www.aktivematrix.com you should create an account, much of the really technical information turns up there and there are a few members who actually have some of the info (or hints) on how much of this works already. At the least you can get more technical questions answered before they drop off the new message radar and go unnoticed.

Thank you.

Already on there actually. I posted a little while ago here on EvoM about logging the EGR duty, but nobody replied, so I thought I had better get off my *** and find a way to do it myself.

I am trying to eliminate as many of the knock filter tables as I can to track down the ones that actually do something. Today I found two of them are the EGR duty tables, but there are a bunch of 2D trim tables that go with it and I am trying to identify them at the same time. With my car being an automatic, I am sure alot of the tables are transmission related and identifying these as well will be a bonus.

At least now I can back track the MUT tables into IDA and see what exactly is going on. Again thanks.
