I suppose I expected more for having a "professional" tune. My car runs and hasn't blown up which is a plus..

A map with lean spool off would look like that at the outside margin of normal AFRs up top with a pump. I would check to see if the lean spool is in fact off or not though, because if it is isnt your AFRs would be in the low 12s most likely.

...and those maps really look nothing alike.

We are missing some key points. JB, that's a good point with leanspool.

The maps don't look anything alike. When I pulled the file off my car yesterday morning by default it saved it almost exactly like another file I had saved of a stock car. I posted those without looking at them again, but it was of the right file.

I will check to see if leanspool is disabled when I get home from work.

What's the easiest way to tell if it's enabled or not?

how do you know the car was actually tuned at AMS by the original owner?

I suppose I went off his good faith. Between the AMS parts and the AMS dyno sheet I have though, it's a fairly sure thing.

Well it depends on what RPM they decided to use to disable it. I lock mine down at 1500 because its not at idle and its not at cruise so it couldnt conceivably cause any odd drivability issues.

THIS ISNT THE ADJUSTMENT, but its tied into the antilag start rpm series of addresses. If you look at it and its anything other than 2500 chances are its off. The only other thing you can do is add the xml for lean spool enable/disable and check it that way or have someone do that for you.

I think you need to put some more trust in your tuner, sounds like you don't really know what you're doing! (no offense, I was there once!). Those maps look like a good conservative tune. You're logging minimal knock, so that is a major plus and a sign that all is well. Get the dyno sheets (with AFR) from the tuner and post them up. The only thing that seems goofy to me is the scaling, I'd have rescaled the last two coluns to 260 and 300 respectively.

+1 to what johnbradley said, verify leanspool is disabled.

Not quite. This whole thing started because somehow the tuner screwed up my Idle Stepper Table and it was causing my car to idle at 4K RPM after I hit boost and was above 3500RPM. I don't know how it happened, but I ended up fixing it once I got my tactrix cable. Initially he just said, "The tune is good, good luck figuring out the problem" and sent me on my way. I asked if he would send me the file of my tune so I had something to go off of, and he sent me the wrong one which was actually a stock file he had with my name on it. I'll spare the rest of the details, but that was the gist of it...he screwed up something small and non-harmful to my car but it was certainly annoying having it idle at 4k RPM.

As I mentioned earlier in this post, the map I opened initially wasn't the one I posted. I opened the stock one, then posted the right one (which is why I was saying it looked stock, but clearly isn't)

I know about lean spool. And I found the thread last night on how to add the tables, but didn't have time to do it before the girlfriend started whining about me coming to bed

I have faith in the tune...it feels 10x better with the cams and after the tune than it did before. I have no idea how my stepper table got screwed up, but it's fixed now so I really don't care. In reality I won't be having it retuned until I upgrade turbos now, so probably in the spring. I may end up contacting Mellon then. I spoke with him various times when trying to figure out my idle issue (thanks again) and he was more than helpful.

I appreciate all the responses from everyone in the thread. JohnBradly I'll add the lean spool tables just to see, but I'm sure it's fine for now. I know how hit sits now it coincides with the anti-lag start/stop tables too.

Very strange. Buy an LC-1 and tune it yourself then, no one to blame but yourself!

Pretty much.

I have a Zeitronix kit but I need to get a new sensor. I took it out of my last car, just haven't gotten around to putting it in yet...I've been putting off getting the sensor for one reason or another. I suppose I should get on that.
