Load/Boost 3rd gear run vs 1-4 gear

Hi Guys,

So I'm trying to understand this. I get why for tuning pulls / dyno runs, you do a 3rd (or 4th for 6 speed) pull. But when I do a full 1-4 street run, I never ever see that load or boost. Why? Shouldn't I be close to those load/boost numbers? See below:

3rd gear

1-4 gear

You are seeing the same, just higher up the powerband. Look at your 3rd gear pull from 5.0-5.5K to redline and then look at each gear on a 1-4 pull. Ignore 1st gear because its too fast and you slip the clutch which makes its curve totally different. Quarter mile guys focus on power from 5.0-5.5K+ since thats where your "useful" power is at the track.

This is also why peak boost #'s on a stock turbo are not all that useful at the track since most MBC guys run roughly the same boost up top (not entirely but you know what I mean).

EDIT: If you set your boost scaling in evoscan to '10' you can see it a whole lot better
