rear O2 sensor function?

rear O2 sensor function?
hi,
in my EU evo IX, I have the original rear O2 which is located before the cat, in addition to the front O2 sensor which is in the turbo elbow.
Now, we do not have the OBD test, but do have an emissions test, so I have a single race cat as a part of a full miltek system, and consequently a engine check light because of it..
I am not worried about the engine check light but would just like to know if the ECU will work differently (or in a limp home mode) if I remove the rear o2, as it is interfering with my LC-1 installation ?
