Bought New Car - Need Tuning Advise
Hey guys,
I just bought an 03' evolution.
I was told it has an ECUflash and has the Vishnu XEDE system. I did check behind the glove box and the XEDE is there but there is no way for me to know about the ECUflash.
I added (within a week of having the car) k&n cone filter, 3" dp with a 3.75" exhaust, cat delete, and an HKS SSQV v2 bov
the car came with HKS 272/280 cams.
I wanted to have the car freshly tuned but I dont know how to go about doing that. Any advise would be a plus.
I did look into the ECUflash hype and I send an email to info@dynoflash.com but I got no response.

go to a professional... sean ivey @ iveytune FTW!!! seriously dont mess with your car if you dont understand tuning.... i dont wanna read about you in the paper that your car blew up and killed you because you detonated then crashed @ 120mph lol... your around the NJ area like me... no doubt sean would be the best bet for you... he is only one of the BEST, and i mean """"BEST"""" tuners in the US
Or you read some usefull info on wikipedia and then you decide on your own which way to go:

Take off the HKS BOV and the ECUTEK, sell them and use the money to have a tuner flash your stock ECU.
The HKS will hurt the smoothness of your car. It vents air to the atmosphere and that makes it harder to tune the car.
the ECUTEK is kinda outdated with the level of development for the stock ECU that is now available. It actually limits what you can do for the most part, sell it and use the money for something else.

^ +1...
Remove that stuff. Take off the sequential thingy too...lol
Make sure you can start the car after removal, which i really doubt u should have a problem there. Make sure everything is intact.
Sell the stuff.. and give Sean Ivey a call.. since you're not far. Use that money and get urself a nice tune from a well known source.!
