Question Idle drop

Hey,
i've been having a little trouble with throttle hang (does that have to do with my idle stepper?)and also... its getting cold up where i live.. and when i start my car from a completely cold start when its about 350-40 degrees out... she'll crank up fine.. then go up to about 1500 to start to warm then after 15-30 seconds the rpms and vac will drop to 500 maybe less and almost stall

started noticing it once it cold colder out i have cosworth m2 cams and full bolt ons... stock injectors. stock turbo.

any help is appreciated.

your problem is probably mechanical (borken ISC teeth?, boot leak, etc). what kind of tune do you have? have you checked your plugs?--might be something simple if all was good before. also is it ok when everything is warmed up--or does the idle suck all throughout the drive?

need input.

Pretty much the same problem a few of us have. It only seems to affect IXs and only a small amount of those. Have you adjusted your idle stepper table to help the throttle hang? You have to find a balance between the throttle hand and cold idle. It sucks. Yes it has to do with the idle stepper table. There's a thread or 2 about it.

Here's my idle stepper table. So far it seems to work pretty well. It's only been down to the mid 40s here, so it may not. If you try it let me know how it works.

We have found out that changing the idle stepper table isnt the best way to get rid of the throttle hang. Check the 9653 throttle hang thread for the better fix.
