Add this to your Documents\EvoScan v2.9\DataSettings\ xml file
And to use ZTXUser2 ensure you tick the "Zeitronix ZT2/ZT3 2010 Model" selected from the EvoScan wideband menu.
Code:
<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="ZTX User2" LogReference="ZTXUser2" RequestID="ZTX" Eval="x" Unit="units" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="255" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="255" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />
Is it possible to log another brand of wideband via serial into EvoScan, or am I limited to only those listed under the "Wideband (WDB)" menu?
I'm tuning for a guy who's bought himself a TechEdge 2J2 wideband (http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm) and I have no idea if it will work in EvoScan.
I tried connecting the TechEdge serial cable up to the laptop today and ran EvoScan, but could not get a reading. Is there any way to log this?
rs232 info here:
http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm#rs232
Any help or tips much appreciated

OK thanks for confirming Hamish. I've told the guy to buy a ZT3 so I can tune it
The 2J2 seems like a decent enough product, but is useless in an Evo at the moment
I just want something that logs into EvoScan.

I have a windows tablet and I am wondering if I will be able to display boost, afr, oil temp and ect real time in my car via the obdII port and tactrix open port 2.0. My car iis being tuned for ecu controlled grimspeed next month. Do I have to purchase additional sensors? My car is currently setup on aem tru boost, with boost solenoid, I am also running an aem afr and oil pressure. I am elliminating the gauges and just going with evo scan on my tablet
I've been getting some really inconsistent behaviour when hooking up to a Zeitronix ZT3 via serial (EvoScan 2.9.0021 on Windows XP). Occasionally it reports ComPort access denied errors, then I have to reboot the laptop, disconnect everything, restart and try and log again. It's hit and miss
Is there any trick to pinpointing why the ComPorts are denied occasionally and getting rid of this problem for good? I've tried unchecking the WDB in EvoScan, then using a different WDB serial COM port (only 1 or 3 available), but it doesn't fix it.
Looking in the EvoScanErrorLog.csv, it just has 'LogDataItems WDB ZTX', then 'The port is closed' repeatedly. Interestingly, when EvoScan is able to talk to the WDB, I am seeing this throughout the error log: 'valueZTXUser2', 'Index was outside the bounds of the array'. Not sure if this is related to my ComPort problems?

hmm, valueZTXUser2
not sure how this would get index out of bounds, and yes it normally would release the comport even when theres an error.
You have PM, I'll look into this for you.
