anyway to review logs with the gps logger?
even open csv in excel type thing will do
i can navigate to the logs with the logger but no program is installed to open them
surely it wouldn't be a big program to open them?

I'd like to report on the gps / evoscan unit.
IF you have been thinking about getting the piece, you will not be disappointed.
I find the gauge setting very nice. At a glance I can see whatever part of the engine's condition I want.
Never even considered the gauge setting until recently, but it is a nice feature.
You might want to get a mini usb to mini usb with right angle extension so you can reduce the number of wires going up to the gps.
Lastly, the latest gauge package is to my eyes to hard to read while driving. I have reverted to the "template 2" As I said, pretty nice, it has a peak record feature too.

what I am referring to is a peak number for each log data set. A small number right next to the data.
With the default gauge it came ready. However I did notice it was a mentioned available option.
on your computer "gauge templates" this is a single line above your individual data gauge*... so under ShowPeak if needs to be "max" / "min" depending
* ItemName x y width height ShowLabel LabelName LabelX LabelY ShowUnits Unit UnitX UnitY Alignment ValueFontSize DecimalPlaces ShowPeak PeakX PeakY PeakFontSize
NumericGauge, Gauge1,
clear as mud, its in the instruction part of the "templates" page
there may be a yes /no on the options menu

Having a weird issue with v2.7. Anytime i try to add anything or edit .xml in EvoScan, it throws error "Sorry, errors were found in orginal data.xml, you cannot save the xml file until these errors are corrected". But, i've never edited the .xml, so this is the original .xml. Also, when i try editing the .xml myself and replace the original .xml, the new .xml will not show up in EvoScan(does not reflect the changes to data item list), even though the data.xml has the new settings in it.
It also say permission read only at the bottom of the program, does this mean anything?
All i want to do it add the Omni 4 bar into the data.xml.
Thanks fellas!

Dear Hamish,
I've been waiting for releasing EvoScan 2.7 for PC version since 4/30/2010.
Any problem founded? or developing any new features?
Is there anything I can do for beta testing or something?

I tried to find a thread that explained it but couldn't so the best I can do is give you a direction in which to search.
This isn't actually an evoscan problem it is a windows 7 problem. Win7 is allowing you to edit a temporary copy of the data.xml and then not writing it over the copy in your evoscan directory. Good luck finding the solution. I know it has been posted here and if you could when you find it please post a link back to this thread.

Windows 7 and Vista have a feature called UAC.
The .xml in the Program Files directory is not actually used. Instead a copy of the program is made and placed in the Users directory, and that one is used.
If you try to edit or replace a .xml in the Program Files directory it will revert back to its original copy. This will drive you nuts if you don't know whats going on.
The solution is not to install EvoScan in the Program Files directory.
I install all my tuning programs, programs that might need their config files edited, and programs not fully compatible with Win7s UAC in another directory.
For example:
C:\ProgramsXP\
