couple logs from the new all stock 2.3

Sorry they are so big!

So i have not scaled my load yet. I just turned down the boost insted. This is about 19 PSI. I'm pretty sure the first log is phantom knock from the 2.3. What do you guys think?

And the second is what my real question is about. Why the knock event during the shift?

I've actuially added some timing to low rpm high load situations. I know it doens't need much but i feel that going negitive at 3000 is very bad for a lot of reasons.

so again, first is false knock i think. What is the second and for that matter why is the load so high with the throttle closed?

That's WAY too much timing... 27 degrees at roughly 6.7K wow. The stock map shows around 10 degrees in that area, and with the new 2.3L I would start low on the timing and work into it once the motor is fully broken in.

Post your fuel and timing maps yo.

Do you have the logging rate set on like 2 values per second or something? Everything looks so grainy. Your showing 18% throttle and still 240% load. I don't know if the timing is raising up because the load is dropping but your logging rate is so slow. I can't even tell what your timing values really are as it seems so low resolution. Can you post the excel #'s of a third gear pull from 3000-redline. Include IPW, RPM, knock, AFR, timing, load, and psi.

Guys that timing is because the throttle is only 37% open in one and closed in the other... there's no boost. (it's also the stock map so the timing is the same as from mitsu. I added timing after these 2 logs but i added it to places that wouldn't show up here anyway.)

The load is up because it's a 2.3 and by stock i mean 2.3 and nothing else. Stock turbo, exhaust, cams, exc.

also WOT runs are not entertaining. Everything looks normal on them.
