ECU Control Boost and Tephra Mod

ECU Control Boost and Tephra Mod

So with my recent upgrade to the FP red I would like to use ECU Controlled boost. Now I know everyone is using the GM 3 port Boost Soleniod. I was going to buy one from Tactrix or Gruppe-S. My question is how well are they at holding boost.....as of now with my EBC I only loose 1.5psi from peak boost to redline? I know I have to get a map sensor so I think I'm going with the Omni 4 bar to log boost but right now I'm very confused with all these mods and add ons for ECU flash.

Tephra Mod I would like to run ver 5-6. I know ver 5 has the alt map and switch and I would like to run that switch with Meth and then ver 6 for boost controlling. Is this a easy upgrade?

You can use Ecu-boost without any tephra mods, if you want map switching, V5 works solid with ecu boost control


I'll let the man answer the V6 question

How well does the 3 port hold boost? If I was to run 25 psi in 4th would I taper more then i do now?

I like some of the feature of V6 but I see it's still in the testing phase

With a Red you should hold 25psi no problem straight across.

I've had a red hold 30psi straight to cutoff on a 05 Evo with a 3port:

Great thanks for the info. I plan on running 27psi on pump as I am now and then alt map with meth @ 30-35 psi. Now we just have to get Tephra to launch Ver 7
