Weird Tuning Problem - Please Help

So here is my Setup:

'99 Eclipse GSX
'03 Evo 8 ECU
T28 Turbo
PTE 780's
190 fuel pump
E85
3" Turbo back exhaust
22psi

I had the car tuned on a dynapack, and it was running great when it was tuned. However, on the road, it only seems to pull good when it is on level ground. If I am on an incline or decline, my timing goes from like 18 to like 6. 02 voltage goes from around .85 to about .7. I can't figure out what the heck is going on, and I'm starting to get frustrated. My best guess is that it's somehow related to my maxed out fuel pump, although it consistently pulls good on level ground.

Below are links to EvoScan logs of a good pull (even ground), and a bad pull (on a decline), along with my current ROM. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Could be hitting different load values in the fuel and timing map with more and less load from the hills. Computer is messed up I will look at your logs in a bit.

What does the car do? Not sure what affect the 02 sensor would make on timing values.

Your def hitting different load values in the logs, though not really sure why your timing is so low. Why are you logging 3 different loads? Do you have a wideband? Would have to see maps to have a better idea.

I'm definitely hitting different load values. However, if I'm hitting lower load values, my timing should be higher than at the greater load values. If you look at my timing maps posted above, it makes no sense that I'm seeing 18 degrees of timing in a load cell of 240, but only 6 degrees of timing in a load cell of 200.

Grab some better logs 3000-7000 in 3rd gear... Maybe 2-3 of them and email them too me.. I'll check them out and report back..

Turn off everything you possibly can so basically only evoscan is logging then disable the basic bs thats not necessary so we get a better log. Can't see much every 300rpms with cut off logs.

Cheers!

insert this into evoscan xml

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="#f78284" Display="Map Timing" LogReference="MapTiming" RequestID="33" Eval="x-20" Unit="deg" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="-50" GaugeMax="50" ChartMin="-50" ChartMax="50" ScalingFactor="10" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

that would give you a more accurate reading of what your ecu i aiming for in timing and then also log timing advance what the cars doing.

ok you need to do some proper logs.... honestly.. log 2byte load, knock, rpm, timing adv map ,timing adv, tps , wbo2 if you have one and thats about it. dont clutter your logs do the same pulls from 2500or3000-redline in 3rd IF the road permits on both logs decline and flat. also the load i saw on you log i dont know how accurate it was but i saw a peak load of 295..... which your map doesn't even compensate for your map stops at 260 so that could be a prob.

I actually figured out the problem (with some help from Tephra). It appears that on 2Gs (at least on my 2G) the ECU gets lower voltage than the Evo ECUs do. My Ecu voltage was fluctuating between 2.8 and 3.2 volts. The alt map switch was set up for 3 volts, so the car was constantly switching from my 91 octane maps to my E85 maps.

I lowered the switching voltage from 3 to 2.5, and that did the trick. Thanks for your help though!
