Logging problem with Evoscan 2.6

Hello, I am having issues connecting to log. ECUflash works great, and evoscan has no problem reading the ECU, but will not connect to log. No change whether with vista 64 bit or XP (tried two different laptops, same results). Just keeps retrying the connection.

I've tried with and without the external wideband checked (AEM UEGO) and no difference either. No issues recognizing the cables. I'm stumped.

Vehicle is an 05 RS

update... this problem is not only isolated to v2.6. i just tried with v2.5 and same result. I must be doing something wrong but it just wont connect. EXTREMELY frustrating.

His problem was he had a modded ROM with a different baud rate.

Try using 62500 as baud rate and see it it works. That was the fix for him.

Are you getting any error message? I've had similar problems and a re-install of EVOScan always fixed it.

I doubt changing your baud rate will fix it, unless you know your settings in the ECU have been changed.

Hey all, did not want to start a new thread and I have been searching and reading for the last two days....

The issue I am having with Evoscan is I try to log, but the log stops suddenly. I tried a total of 5 3rd gear pulls, 3 of which when stopped, gave me an "empty file". The other two logs stop at 3.5K RPMS.

I did a few low rpm logs a few days ago with no problems.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

It's the V2.6...
OS is Windows XP...
No, no wideband...

I have tried reinstalling the software with no luck..Just affraid I might hurt the engine trying to get a decent log....

All the settings were left as is, no changes done. Just installed, checked everything except the wideband, and started/tried logging....

I keep reading about baud rate and other things but have no clue what they mean....still a newbie at this...

i had an extremely difficult time with evoscan about a month ago. all the uninstalls and reinstalls did not permanently fix the problem.

however, when i uninstalled evoscan using revo uninstaller, i have had no issues since. you could always try that. just google revo uninstaller.

I have the same problem. ECUflash connects without any problems, but Evoscan does not connect. 1 time after reinstalling 2.6, and even installing 2.5, I decided to reinstall .NET framework 3.5 and Evoscan was able to connect again. But then I shutdown my laptop and tried to connect again next day, and I couldn't. hmm . Haven't tried since.
