Openport 1.3 Unversal

It seems I'm having an issue when I connect the Tactrix cable. I've never had it before. My computer says there is new hardware found and tries to load the information for the cable. It doesn't need it because if I cancel it enough times I can log through Evoscan. When I try to just go ahead and install the hardware, it says it can't. Am I missing something? I've uninstalled and reinstalled, Evoscan and Ecuflash, no luck. Any clues? Thank You.

This happened to me when I upgraded Ecuflash to a newer version. It was aggrevating so i reinstalled the older version. Obviously not a fix, but im sure someone on here knows more

Install an older version of Ecuflash (anything older than 1.42) including the drivers. I had a driver issue with the newest version of ecuflash. I installed an older version/drivers, then installed the newest version/cancelling the driver install- that worked for me.

This worked for me. I was on ecuflash 1.35 for the longest time and decided to change to the latest version of 1.42. I had the same problem. When I plug in the tactix cable, it tried to load the drivers for it but couldn't.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in. This time, I pointed it to where the driver was and it worked. If you let it search, it won't work.

I had to force install it and tell it which drivers to use.

Go to device manager and show hidden devices, remove all instances of openport and 1.3 (there should be a few)

-RESTART

-preferably you should run the install in the ECUFlash directory (C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\drivers) at this point
-optionally restart (why not?)
-Plug in the cable and let it do the automatic install.

------------
"Run an older version of ECUFlash..."
.... laughable man
