tuning my car during the week running 90550001,
the car would sit at 850 rpm at idle when the coolant temp is above 85 deg c,
but if you went out for a drive and stopped at a junction the rpm would hang at 1200rpm and not drop,
coolant temps were around 80 deg c and the car was in constant enrichment as the STFT would trim up but the LTFT would not move,
tried to drop the enrichment tables but with no effect,
found out it had a lower thermostat 76.5deg c as opposed to 80deg c,
so I changed the stat out and took it for a spin trims came up perfect and the throttle hang was gone,
BUT we had to remove between 5 to 8 deg of timing advance from the ignition map as the car was knocking bad,
performance was almost halved,
so it led me to think there must be another table that controls or overwrites the tables that have been found for enrichment,
I droped the enrichment to 0 at 82 deg c but the RPM's would only settle down after 85 deg c,
anybody any ideas ????
would like to keep the lower stat in as it makes a car of it.
