Idle Issues

here i go:

i have a 2006 JDM Evo IX running 88570008 on SD. Mods:

3" TBE
K&N cone filter

today i was gonna start tuning so i switched to full time open loop via the bits. the car warmed up somewhat normal and missed a couple times. when fully warmed up though the car goes lean and the idle drops off, then picks back up to normal (you can see it in the log).

not sure why this is happening, i never had idle issues so never really tuned idle. the car idles and drives normal when not in full time open loop.

i attached a log of normal idle and the other with full time open loop.

Any advice? i have the Asynch tables but have not messed with them at all.

PM me if you need me to email my rom.

Thanks in advance.

Rav,

What were your trims in closed loop? I didnt think about it when we talked earlier, but I bet it was dumping a bunch of fuel to keep them close. Richen the RPM portion of the VE tables or alternatively raise the numbers on the left side of the MAPVE to richen it globablly.

Does it cruise as lean as well?

never measured fuel trims

all of them come up as 0.1008 -dont know why??

during closed loop - idle - 14.7
- partial throttle was normal
- WOT - spot on with AFR (10.6 AFR map = 10.6 on WB)

all i did was switch to open loop full time and this "miss".

to be honest the SD maps were pretty essy, i got it from jscbanks, NEVER touched em and the car ran perfect in closed loop.
