Auto Tune Program [Dev]
BMW also runs full time closed loop and has for years. I believe even on the turbocharged 335i and 135i they do it. They also have VERY sophisticated algorithms to handle it with LOTS of sensor parameter checks to keep a close tab on everything. AND IT SUCKS if you have any small issue at all because even something as simple as a small vacuum leak will throw CEL upon CEL.
MANY cars run full closed loop and have since the early 90s in some cases. That doesn't change the fact that for this application though, I think it's a very bad idea.
Writing some code that automatically purposed changes based on statistics but still gave the user the final word might be pretty slick though. Basically drive around and it charts out the table of interest as to what it recommends, gives you some kind of statistics about the suggested values, and then lets you decide what to change the value to. You can pretty much do this using logworks, but having a program built specifically to do it would greatly reduce the time to do it.

There is the ECMtuning portion that is new as of V3
Fortunately for them (not us) their adjustment layer runs on top of the hard tables (I think) and is a direct % based adjustment.
