few quick tuning quesions

So in a nutshell let me see if i get this lol.
-Knock = BAD dont want any really.
-AFR on idle sits at around 14.7?
-AFR on WOT around 11.1-11.3?
-If a car is adding/removing time u add or remove a few degrees ? basically u dont want the car to add or subtrack timing right?

About to order evoscan, iv ran a couple logs on mitsulogger and have almost no knock, a few 1s and maybe a 2 here and their.

Thanks

That sounds about right. You cant control your idle AFR unless you use an LC-1 or go open loop and change the fuel map in that area. For WOT you are already open loop and it just reads off the fuel map. Make sure you have a wideband!

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here, but you may want to read up a bit more before you go tuning at all... maybe start with the AFR just to get yourself familiar. It doesn't sound like you have tuned a car before based on the questions you are asking.

The sticky "how to tune an evo" thread might be a great place to start.

Also, this thread could have just as well been titled "A few questions that have been answered repeatedly and posted in obvious places that I'm not sure how to look for"

I understand why you would put that, but did you think that was really called for?
Pretty sure when you tune a car you have to start somewhere.
Inless ur special I think you probly started where I'm at?

I don't know a lot about tunning a car but if my car sits at 14.9ish, hits around 10.9 - 11.2 at wot,
Has 0.0 counts of knock. I really don't think I'm doing to bad here?
The timing was the only question I really had because my car advances timing like crazy.
I logged my car to find them no where in the data folder itself but I can see all the dates and times in evoscan itself?
I never had this probly until I got a new computer with windows 7.
I ask a lot of questions, even if I know the answer.
Measure twice cut once.
Same thing
I'm never around my cpu so I'm on my blackberry. Do you know how slow it is to load this website on at n t
But still its all good, atleast you were kinda nice about it lol
Thanks for the input ill re-read that forum again when I wake up.

You should start by monitoring the knock and adjusting your timing. Read more on it.
