honda iat sensor for sd

hey i was wondering if its possible to use the iat sensor found on hondas lets say civics and intergras as an iat for our cars in s.d? i know the hondas run "s.d" and it would be a realy cheap source thnx!

Usually IAT sensors are thermistors like the GM sensor. So, if that'st the case, there should be no reason you couldn't use it. You would just need to know the calibration for that sensor so that you can set up the table correctly in ECUFlash.

hmm i need to learn some of this coding language.. like how do you folks go about correctly calibrating an then turning it into a code??

You need to know the calibration curve for that sensor....maybe from documentation.

Or, if you measure it yourself at 3 points, then post the results I can run it in LogWorks thermistor calc to give you a calibration curve.

You can measure it in ice water, room temperature, and boiling water. Since you know all three of those temps, then you can record the resistance of the sensor.

However, it would be easier to simply get the curve from documentation.

you can measure the rate of the sensor by using a ohm meter and reading resistance values at three different temps.

I could do this if anyone wants to donate a sensor

Yea I cud get em for free. But I was reading some honda forums and they switch to the gm iat. Because the oem is realy laggy. Thnx for your hep anyway.
