Big thanks to scheides and mrfred for the help and comments to share ...

Well, after messing around for 2 1/2 hours trying to get the SD pre patched rom working I finally got it. A problem I ran into was trying to copy the omni 4 bar map sensor parameters into my Evo 8 ROM 96940011.xml file before I tried it into the pre patched rom and it didn't work. Mrfred told me it was prolly a vista permissions issue and when I unchecked the Ecuflash folder from read only.....it worked!

Then after copying everything over to the pre patched rom for the omni 4 bar and converting everything over to big maps I couldn't get the car to start. I went into the (FAA) bits and tried to disable immobilizer by hit the "=" key and inputing a "0" value and nothing happened. Then when I hit the "-" key and then it went to "0". Everybody might already know this but I wanted to post my mistakes in case others are not so computer smart as I am Now on to logging everything tomorrow and seeing what happens. If anyone doesn't want to post something fearing its a dumb question feel free to pm scheides as he was a big help and I'll also help in anyway I can.......

also... if you read in that same area, instead of disabling your immobilizer, there is a hex address to type in for either 03 04 or 05 and then you can keep your immobilizer and the car will start.

Dont be afraid to call a brother man.... I'll BS with you about anything concerning this crap. The more we learn, the faster, the better off we both will be

Don't make me show you my AT&T phone call logs online Maybe the Mrs. is hitting your silent button on your phone then when your not around! No worries. You know i'll be coming and asking lots of questions when everything gets installed and we put her on the streets. HOPEFULLY, everything gets here in the next 2 days as my first big shipment comes tomorrow. If it does, i'll be down at TBC getting the bung welded on for the iat sensor on the aftermarket uicp ASAP.....

yep... how has the tuning gone so far ? Im waiting on this damn fuel rail to show up so i can swap injectors and my perrin rail that i sold out, get them dialed up and flash to SD to start playing around.

I should also be ordering the turbo setup friday i think... im going to rotate the tax check into play and use the money from the old turbo kit to back fill the taxes. If nothing else, the car will look nasty lol under the hood.

Tuning is easy because all I did was translate my old maps into big maps translator and transferred all this over too:
Injector scaling/latancy tables
Boost contrl/boost limit tables
MAF scaling
MAP sensor scaling
Immobilizer disable

My car has an exhaust mani gasket leak also and the car still idles and everything like a champ without rpms goin up and down like b4. I drove it today and had to adjust the jitter fix as it was noticable when cruising around 2200 rpm and thats about it.

For my rom it was easy as scheides already had a pre patched rom for the evo8. I just had to add the omni 4 bar definitions to the .xml file to get the map sensor tables to show up and that was about it. PM one of these guys with a 9 rom and ask them?

i have made its own thread, got no replies, so i patched the crap myself and then posted it for everyone else to use. I just dont understand why those items dont show up for me. I copied the entire JCSBANKS download into the rom. Didnt miss anything. There is no reference to the asynch stuff.
