I have been using both 1.42 and 1.29a on my Windows 7 laptop successfully but today, something strange happened. After I clicked on either, the ecuflash icon appears on the taskbar and ecuflash.exe runs in task manager but the program stays minimized on the taskbar. I tried clicking on it to maximize it or bring it to the foreground but it didn't worked. It just stayed running in the background. I reinstalled but its still the same. Anyone knows what's the problem? Seems to me that its a Windows issue though

Both 1.42 and 1.29a were working fine yesterday. I didn't do any Win7 updates too.

 

why do you have both? I would assume that would cause driver conflicts.

 

I'm using the old 1.3 cable so I need 1.42 to edit the ROM and 1.29a to flash it in I don't think this issue is due to the tactrix driver conflict though...

 

wait, why cant you flash with 1.42? is that a win 7 thing? I have no had any issues flashing with the 1.3 cable on 1.42

 

I'm not sure but I can't get 1.42 to connect to the ECU.
