New Fuel Pump.. Rich
New Fuel Pump.. Rich
Okay, so i finally bought my walbro 255 fuel pump, but with that it is making me really rich (9.9) on WOT. I tried adjusting my fuel map and injector scalingl.. But no success, it stays around 10.2-9.9 what maps do i have to edit to get my car running back to normal now thanks!
I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

normally your hi octane fuel map (main)
unless your running tephra switchable maps then there are more possibilitys of which map.
really rich mixtures can even create knock and if this is the case your ecu will switch to low octane fuel map and is perhaps why your not getting any change adjusting the normally correct hi octane map
.
as a side note. becareful leaning out fuel . i.e make sure your wideband is calibrated and you have no exhaust leaks pre wideband sensor. as out of calibrated w/b usually show rich!
when i calibrate my wideband i remove the sensor and give it a blow out to clean the soot from it and do a clean cal.

to add your old fuel pump may have been maxed out or close to it there fore leaner afrs (cant sustain enough fuel). now you have a pump to supply enough fuel per psi of boost so it goes back to the "correct" afr. so you have to retune you hi oct map . how much psi are you running by the way?

It's not abnormal to have to re-tune fuel when going from the stock fuel pump, to the Walbro 255.
