Help ASAP please read

Hey Guys,

I just got my car back from Mitsubishi today to fix the Fan Controller and IACV and i just wanted to check my current tune is on the car,

I went to flash my current rom and i got an error, i then tried to log the car with Evoscan and im getting the following message

Less then 5v detected on the cable

HELP please, thanks in advance

Well it just came back from a 1.5 hr trip from syd, i dont have any lights on stereo on and the car starts perfectly

Still need help guys i tried doing it with a battery charger plugged in to no avail

Ah ok because i did notice that when mitsu worked on the car they didnt remove the battery, which fuses should i be looking at under bonnet or in the car?

I would start under the hood with the relays.

yea no interior lights usually means fuse.. dsms get there obd power from the interior lights..,

My interior lights are working, ive just noticed something else i cant lock or unlock the car with my key anymore either, i called mitsu and they told me they cannot be held responsible WTF!!!!

Going to check out fuses and stuff now, how do i tell if relays are faulty?

the U or S shape the fuse makes wont be connected.

if all your fuses are good reset your battery and makesure the terminals are good.

relays are a little harder to test, but im an electrician and in this case no where near you to help. but you going to need a multi meeter or something with in those lines that can read ohmic values or make a beeping noise when you connect each terminal to both sides of the fuse. How ever for your relays its a little harder they have a normally closed and a normally open side. so when you test it with the multi meeter two terminals should always show a value close to zero or a beep. and the normaly open shouldnt do anything until the relay is engergized on the which you can pull of by using a battery and a couple of wires. or find out which relay is what and have a friend help you by hitting the switches to turn them on (eg. fog lights) it should make a clicking noise when it changes state.

Fixed guys, i couldnt lock the car either but i could unlock, i looked through all fuses and one was blown, problem resolved thanks for you help
