Evo 8 Idle Issues

Hey Guys,

Had my cams installed and have had awesome work from a fellow member who i will be booking the car in to do a final tune for me, but in the mean time i have an issue where the car idles way to low with the AC on.

Cams are S2's, the car also idles really stable normally but when the thermos cut in the idle drops like when the AC is switched on.

I have attached a screen shot of my settings.

Thanks guys

Just increase the numbers. Why did you make this thread? Have you attempted increasing the idle numbers to maybe 800-900? I run 1000rpm for my car on GSC 280 cams.

this is prob the wrong way to do it but what i did was monitor idle steps in evoscan and then find the table that gives the figure you see when the ac is on. then adjust up and recheck that the change did indeed do what it was supposed to if not put the figures back to how there where.
log process tho

Did you increase the timing in the idle areas of your timing table?

+1 on Evoryder's suggestions.

Yeh its around 8 degrees in the idle area, i broke my tactrix cable so i will be playing with it when my new one arrives.

I was told that the table for desired idle rpm with ac on doesnt actually change the idle with ac on is this correct?

Incorrect. It will increase or decrease as long as your IACV is in good condition.
