Regarding Injector Latency...

Maybe this is obvious, but I didn't think about it until I read Merlin's Tuning Guide and more specifically, the section regarding Fuel/Ignition Table Scaling.

Is there any reason why the values for Injector Latency can't be switched so it better matches the numbers given to us by the injector manufacture? Reason being, I had a buddy come up with a predictive equation to come up with values to match the voltage numbers built into the factory ecu... now I wouldn't have to.

This all make sense? Thanks!

Excellent question, I have wondered that myself. You would think as long as the curve stays the same it should work, but I have never seen anyone try it here.

I will give it a go on the car soon... Again I can't think of any reason why this wouldn't work, but I just wanted to double check if someone had done it before. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity how are those IDs behaving? You would be one of the few I seen post that have had good luck with them on the OEM ECU. I had to ditch mine for FICs.

They are running flawlessly... Can't really understand the issues others are having with them, but driveability is great, startup warm or cold is a non issue and consistancy is lovely. I don't daily drive the car, the car is primarily track now, but whatever the situation I haven't had any real issue at all! The only thing I can think of that I'd like to fix is if the car is stone cold the throttle response can be a bit iffy at very low RPM, like 1400-1500, maybe a little more tip in throttle fuel would help, but it is difficult for me to even run into that issue.

Well I'm really jealous, I have been all over the place with map AFR, VE, latencies and scale not to mention every obscure start table in ECUflash without a complete fix to 5-6 crank starts. My new FIC1100s have never had more than 2 or three cranks to start it no matter how far off any of the above stuff was and without touching any start tables in 96531706. I even tried the 790 scale and latency values you posted back then for the IDs without luck.

I had a friend with better math and Excel skills than I, help extrapolate the latency values at the voltages specified by ID to match the voltage scale in ECUflash, but this would certainly be a lot easier if it works. I still wonder if they would work properly with the right values.
