EcuFlash tries to use Serial Cable.

Just got a USB Serial Cable for new laptop to log LC-1 Wideband.

Problem is EcuFlash tries to use the Serial Cable when Flashing, instead of the OP 2.0. I get a "the cable doesn't have the necessary features" message

Windows 7
FTDI chip set Serial Cable
OpenPort 2.0
EcuFlash 1.43.3000

Does anyone know a way to fix this? Besides unplugging the Serial Cable.

I have tried heaps of different options and you must unplug the serial to usb adaptor, same in Evoscan if using that to flash

I thought with the OP 2.0 you can actually plug the output from the LC-1 into the 3.5mm jack on the front of the OP 2.0 to log innovate products...

i dont have that problem... i flash just fine with my serial to usb adapter connected while my 2.0 or 1.3 cable are being used. You need to make sure your com ports are set up properly. That may be where your problem is. I too am using Win7 also.

You can use the 2.5 mm jack for StandAlone Logging. But even if it worked with Evoscan, I would need to switch that cable for Logging/Flashing, which I'm try to stop.

I think it will only happen if you have a FTDI chip set Serial to USB, EcuFlash thinks its a 1.3 cable.

Com ports are set up properly.

I have 2 different types that i use and both work just fine. I'm not sure what chipset they have in them. I have the grey Dynex cable that best buy sells, and then i have a purple cable with LEDs that someone suggested to use a few years back on the boards.
