Starting to Tune!

Well im about to start tuning my car!

What i have:

-EcuFlash
-Evoscan
-Tatrix Cable

What i Need:

I need something to read WB02.. I want to get somthing where i can share the WB02 Sensor between me and my brothers evo...

I would like the get the LC-1 ... is that good? "I dont want something were i can use it in my brothers car also"
Where do i hook the LC-1 Too? not the OBDII bec that is where tractix cable would be hooked up to the labtop. so what would i hook up the LC-1 Too?

thanks guy!

i have the lc-1 and it is very simple to install and remove from the car. the first one i had was buggy but since i got a new one i did a lot better soldering the wires and it has worked flawlessly since day one. would definitely recommend the lc-1

I would never share a wideband as you always want it in your car to spot a problem like going lean in boost before you blow up your engine. Say one of you injectors gets clogged wouldnt you like to know that the enginge isnt getting enough fuel? I would.

I have never had the gauge in the car, there are more important things to worry about when going WOT than looking at a gauge. There are animals, children, or people that could appear in the road and you would not see them because your eyes are focused elsewhere. I use evoscan to log my a/f and boost so I know what is going on and have Tephra's v7 rom set to flash CEL and drop boost if there is a problem.

Take your time and make small adjustments at first and make sure to pay super close attention to the effects.

I have never seen any animals, children, or people on the track when i pulled up to the tree. I dont know what the tracks like where you live but i wouldnt go there if i had to watch out for animals, children, or people jumping out onto the track while i was in the middle of a run.

Well I meant as a DD for spirited runs checking on the car or for autocross, there are no tracks near me other than the occasional autocross in local parking lots.

you can log to either log works or evoscan. One or the other. Either log with evoscan and set it up to log with evoscan using a serial cable or hard wire the lc1 to the ecu. Or log with logworks. Logworks will log through the open port cable

the lc1 comes with a serial cable. Thats how the wideband and computer communicate. You set up the wideband, calibrate it etc.. using serial cable and lm programmer. It plugs in the out of the lc1. If your laptop doesnt have a serial port use a serial to usb adapter. Any electronic store has them. Plug it in the laptop in evoscan select lc1 set the com port and your good to go.

you will need to buy a serial to usb adaptor

LC1 install
- 12v power
- Ground (good ground at that)
- Analog out to ecu if you want! Or log via serial
- Weld bung into end of down pipe or decat pipe

Very easy to install!
