hi im new to tuning evos and i was wondering if someone wouldnt mind showing there tuned timing and fuel maps for an evo 8.id just like to get an idea of what people are doing.
i have just basic bolt ons and im not going extreme with it. so something like that.
i know how to use the software and have ran a few data log sessions and made some minor changes.but i dont know im just curious to see someone elses.
any help is appreciated

As far as fuel maps go, AFAIK there's nothing really to compare, you should be shooting for around 11.5 AFR @ peak torque, and gradually get a bit richer (about 11.1) as you get to redline. This is on pump gas though, it's a bit different on E85.

I'm no expert, so maybe wait for a few more opinions before you start having fun That link above should give you plenty of maps to compare with though, just keep in mind that many are running water/meth injection or are on E85/race gas, so don't just go copying someone's map because it looks pretty

 

yea i had previously looked at those maps and i never found one that was anywhere near my simple setup. all those guys are running fp blacks and meth.lol with huge cams. those maps look crazy

 

even if they had the same mods as you it wouldn't be wise to use their map as yours.

 

i didnt plan to use their maps merely do some comparisons and whatnot
