Unless you're willing to disassemble that rom you'd be better off switching to a more supported one.

You could try the 9417 variant of the tephra patch.

I'm surprised you had idle problems with it though.

ok so i trashed the 4013 and decided to bite the bullet and screw around with 9653 v7 and get the idle right. so far so good.. except it wont log the 1 or 2 byte load either.

v7 isn't setup to log 2byte load just log the 1byte load instead if you have evoscan it should be built in i think. If not search a bit and you can find the xml needed to log it.

the car stalls when i turn the steering wheel sometimes. and it just seems somewhat unsmooth with occasional upps and downs. the downs can drop low enough to trigger my oil light ,like 300 rpm. never had these problems.
i just increased the values in the iscv desired rpm catagories in the higher temp ranges.
i didnt want to mess with the stepper because i dont understand it

Then just copy your values from the stock rom to the new one if you don't understand it.

I would double check your maf compensation too i know its different than most stock evo roms.

How did you get 1 byte and 2 byte working? Did you have to change anything in the MUT tables. I did the mods underr the Tephra v7 thread to Evoscan and changed my 1byte load factor to 1.3 in EcuFlash to match evo scan but it still wont work with map tracer.

Im using 96530706 Tephra V7

I just copied the formula for the 1 byte into the 2byte log portion and map tracer works with 1 byte :P
