Autometer map sensor for loging boost?

I've spent an hour or so searching and can't find an answer. Can you use the map sensor from the autometer electric boost gauge in place of the jdm? A couple things I thought I read but can't find anymore, the old autometer map sensor is actually a gm unit (the most info i could find on mine is a sticker that says 2511-736 30/30 boost/vac). The other was taping the signal wire and hooking it to an unused pin on the ecu but I don't know if it was for the autometer or not. If the Autometer sensor isn't a gm then is it accurate enough to use for tuning?

this is the formula for evoscan
0.17573*x-14.5

You then need to apply a correction for your altitude to give a baseline of 0psi

Eg: my actual formula in Evoscan reading request 38:

17573*x - 14.058

awesome now that I know its a gm unit it makes searching easier. This is what I found for wiring to the ecu.

For evo 9's
