Targeting different boost levels for different gears with v7
I was just wondering if folks are targeting different boot curves/levels for each gear with tephra v7? I've been aiming to boost higher in lower gears for max torque and scoot at daily driving speeds but intentionally running less peak and high RPM boost in 4th and 5th to be safer during long WOT pulls at high speeds where EGTs and cylinder temps in general can be more of an issue. This would produce funky dyno results if my car were dynoed in 3rd vs 4th, but it seems to me like a good idea for engine longevity on pump gas. 30 psi in 2nd gear zipping to 60 mph is a world of difference from 30 psi in 5th at 150+ pulling down the half mile straight at VIR.

That's basically how most do it. You basically try to run the same boost in 1-2 as you do in 3rd which requires some adjustment since boost is usually a little lower in the first two gears because they literally zip through the maps like a flash. Then tone down the top end in 4th and 5th for the reasons you mentioned.
It's also useful if you want to control your max torque levels in the lower gears for launching when you are pushing your clutches clamping abilities when drag racing.

Thats exactly what I was trying to do on the stock turbo. Its was easier thought than done though
It was like playing with a Rubiks cube! I would get one side right and totally mess up the other. I gave up and put the Black turbo back on
