phantom or real part throttle knock (stroker)
phantom or real part throttle knock (stroker)
Hi,
I've been trying to tune my 2.3 stroker. I've scaled the injectors and now carefully starting to tune. Up to 3000 rpm it drives very well, boosting up to 0,6 bar. But when I try to go over 3000 rpm (part throttle) it knocks at around 3500 everytime (boost still no more than 0,7 bar). I've richened the afr and pulled timing quite a lot, but nothing seems to help. So I started thinking that it may be phantom knock, but wanted to be sure, so if someone could please look at my log and confirm it, I would appreciate it very much.
Also, if someone could share his timing map for a stroker, that would help a lot.
Thanks.

To be quite honest, you can have people look at logs, but everyone would be taking an educated guess. You won't get a definitive answer. If you want to know, get some det-cans, or go to a shop that has some.
Still can anybody share a base timing map for a stroker - I've searched, but the best advice that I found was just to pull a couple of degrees from the stock map and start from there. Any other advice?
