new and need some help
I'll try to uninstall everything tomorrow and reinstall it and see what happens. I dont know if I did something wrong when I installed the open port cable or not but like I said before the only thing I can think of is when the screen came up after plugging in the cable to install it half way through it said something about windows logo not recognize but it seemed to finish to install
What Windows do you have?
Also, when you uninstall ECUflash make sure you remove it completely. Else you will still have problems with Windows trying to refer back to the old program.

You should be set as long as you select the proper items. Just a heads up though... you may have to remove EcuFlash a few times and reinstall it. Also, restart your computer after uninstalling EcuFlash.
Keep us updated on what you do so we can help you out.

Ok so today I uninstalled ecuflash and reinstalled it and I'm still getting the same thing I'm starting to think it's the cable bc of that windows logo error or whatever it is. It's really starting to **** me off

That was my problem with similar issues.
This makes me think you need the drivers for the openport found at

Bingo! ^^ Nice guy.
im pretty sure that cable doesnt not work with Ecuflash. 1.3u works but 1.3r does not have a license to work with ecuflash which is why it costs 40 bucks less. This is all according to evoscan.com so go check that out if you want.
I didnt even catch that. Your cable needs to be either the 1.3u or 2.0open port to read and write to the Ecu.
Good catch man
Let me find the link so i can post it for verification.

Heres the link. Look at the table, 1.3r cables only work in Evoscan...

step one, install openport driver if need be(i NEVER had too)
step 2 turn your car on and let it idle for about 10-15 mins
step 3, go to your car plug the tactrix cable in (both ports)
step 4 pull EcuFlash up
step 5 select read rom (do NOT turn your car off, EcuFlash will see its on and will turn the car off its self off when trying to read the rom)
step 6.....if the above steps worked its because your voltage on your battery was low and Ecuflash requires at least 12 volts to run (i.e read/write new rom or hex file)
Let me know if it did/didnt work
DO NOT DO THESE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE OPENPORT 1.3u or 2.0 (will brick your ECU)
