Hey guys,
On a local message board someone had asked about the pro's/con's of upgrading their ECMlink 1G DSM with an Evo 8 ECU and wanted to get some factual differences between a few ECU's all in one thread. I will update this thread as any info gets added.

These are the ECU's I would like to use for comparison. Processor speeds (frequency/MHz,etc...), any BUS info that makes a difference, inputs, outputs, logging speeds,etc...



90-94 ECMlink'd ECU


95-97 ECMlink'd ECU


98-99 Re-flashable DSM ECU


03-04 Evo 8 ECU
Chipset spec's

• Maximum operating frequency: 40 MHz
• 32-bit internal architecture

Pro's:
Opensource flexibility

Con's:
Software can be complicated for some users

Nobody knows any specs on any of these that they can contribute? I added a little for the Evo 8 ECU
