Hi,

i have a hex file that we are trying to open but i get the error unknown rom image " ecuflash could not recognize this ROM image" than gives me 2 choices either to abort and to use wizard to create new definition

i have the XML file for my car not im not sure how to open the file

please help

 

If you had the xml file for your car then it would open.

 

When EcuFlash gives you the unknown rom error it will let you create a new XML definition. Follow that process until it gives you the Rom ID, then you can grab that XML and put it in your ecuflash/rommetadata directory.

If you want to post the rom here, or PM it to me, I can find out the ID and send you the required XMLs.
