Alt Maps V7 - map switch not working

Hi guys,

Trying to test Map switch functionality, seems like it's not working correctly.
Installed switch wired into ECU.

How I tested was to copy main map tables to alt map tables
I set all WGDC values to 50.
I figured I would test if alt maps if car ran lowered boost.

I turned switch on, took it around the block and feels same.

Here's how I have it set up in V7.
Does this look correct?

I tried the test @ bottom of link:

Here's Evoscan log with car running:
Alt Map Act < 5. Looks like mine is 3, can I assume it's switching correctly?

I couldnt get the alt map activation working on my car when i tried but to test it i changed injector scaling on alt maps and switched over. When i heard the car stumble over (on purpose) i knew my alt maps were working. Works like a dream with my hfs6.

I figured the WGDC test would work.
I must have looked @ the ECU diagram a dozen times to make sure I tapped into the correct wires and pins. All looks OK.

I don't have a multi meter, nor do I know how to use one.

I guess that's my next test.

It's a map switch with toggle/LED.

What's the procedure sequence for TPS activation?

Just tried TPS setting. Looks like it's working, but I'd rather have the switch working.
Me, I need an idiot light...

tehpra, thanks for chiming in.

Do you mean enable flash ICS(1) as a test when I turn on/off map switch?
Even though I don't have ICS button, I'm assuming light will flash on the dash?

What voltage should I be getting from test(post 2) described in Wiki?

thanks

even if you dont have ICS you should have the lamp in the meter/dash

you should be getting 5v when using the map switching harness..

I am not sure if those MUT's are right thou... but thats another story

I figured light would be on dash regardless on having ICS switch. The only problem is I need a way to activate/inactivate. That's why I installed the switch.

I'm getting power to switch. Toggle LED light on/off works.

I must have checked for correct ECU pin wiring 10 times...

do you have the LED in series with the switch? the led might be holding the voltage high, try it with just the switch

I wired it based on instructions:
What should I test with meter?
