P0340 & P0335 freaking me out!!!

Hi guys, I think this a re-thread but im getting crazy with this problem.

Ok im trying to be short with the story.

I got a Evo 4 and i recently made an evo 8 ecu swap. ( wiring diagram from evoscan and some help from evolutionm)

It crank it really good ( with a stock evo 8 rom with tephramod v7 gotten from evolutionm tephramod v7 thread).

I toke it for a spin, and cant rev more than 4000 rpm ( like a misfire or hippous). I checked with evoscan the only ecu error was p0125 02 sensor or sort of. Also I datalogg with evoscan and the knocsum was scary ( 6's,8's even 10's) but no showing that error.

I decide to search more and put a stock rom ( no tephramod v7) and now it showing those codes (P0340 and P03350). I erase them with evoscan and instantly appears again. Again I cant rev more than 4k rpm

Please help with this, i've been reading a lot and tryin anything (next step would be is to buy a new sensors).

Thanks for the help!!!

are you using the 9653 ROM? Its the only one that seems to work with that setup.

i am using 96532706 on my evo 4 with a evo 8 ecu. there are some periphery bits that need to be adjusted, the one for the front o2 heater circuit (from evo 5 go forward has the heater circuit sensors), the rear o2 and the EGR need to be disabled. have you done this?

and this may be a dumb/obvious question, but did you check how much the rev limiter is set at? can you rev past 4000 at standstill?

have you rescaled injectors ? IV has 510 cc and in Tepra rom there are scaled for E8 560 cc's by default

@kronik5383
are your fuel trims MID and LOW cycling after disablign front O2 heater ?

When I did my Evo 8 ECU swap I had many code problems when I put the tephra mod V7, I had to disable some periphery bits because the Evo 8 have many sensors that the JDM not have. Now I'm running 96530706 tephra V7 very fine, no codes.

If you want help setting a good tephra V7 for your E8 ECU, just tell me what maf, injectors are you run. I can modify my rom and send you back.

Gracias Morera!!!!

Now, I datalogged and next CEL was Coolant Temperature for closed loop. And again, I can rev more than 4500 rpm.

Now, I saw the Excell sheet with the info of evoscan and I saw that cranksensor is not datalogged ( appears 0 ). With my older ECU ( Evo4) it appears as number 1. Is it that the problem???

Now Im running with 96532706 with tephra v7.

Thanks for the helps....Now moreeee help please jajaja

[quote = jonmorera; 9703940] I had the same error coolant temperature for closed loop, it was wrong for doing the evo 8 ecu swap , out there on the internet following a guide on how to make an evo 8 ecu swap into a evo 4 and was wrong that guide. [/ quote]

I download the diagrams from evoscan and some guide from here. Now went out and datalogged and appears a misfire and can rev more than 4000 rpm. fuel cut use x2 (over 600). But I still have the same failure. At least the crank & camshaft codes left.

Now I get the p0125 code and I can not rev more than 4k

Thanks

Gracias Morera!
