MAP switching is out in V1 for 2012? I thought those of us with 2011/2012/2013 had to wait for V2 for MAP switching. I've been waiting for it to come out so I could retune my WMI (ON/OFF) at the same time I upgrade my turbo. (I have a 2011 GSR.) Please make me feel stupid that this is true and I've been waiting for no reason, so I can upgrade/retune.

 

2011 you can use a 2010 based Tephra mod

2012 there is tephra v1 for a long time ( I been running it well over a year).


V2 is other addons not on v1

 

I know I could have flashed to a 2010, then used V1, but I was told that V2 ("Coming out soon") would not require me to do this. I also like the added features coming in V2. Will 2011 GSR be included in V2, or is the 2010 route my only option to use any Tephra Mod? Thanks

 

One thing as a person that manages developers.. I can tell you this , since there is no monetary gain here , other than donations. "Coming out Soon" could mean months or years ..

I went back to the V1 page and see nothing for 2012 roms.... I'd rather pay for V2 but if V1 works I'll get to it right now.

 

I have a 2013 and would like to use map switching, from what I gather I have to wait for v2 to use this function.

 

I realize that, FastAttack. I donated once in anticipation/support for V2, and plan to again when it is released. I wish there was a better way we could compensate brilliant people like Tephra that would enable them to focus on development. I don't know how many hours and what the hourly rate would be. Say 100 hours at $100 an hour = $10K. Well, if 100 people anted up with $100 each, maybe Tephra could take a sabbatical from his day job and knock it out. (I did all that math in my head.) Are there 100 people out there who want V2 willing to cough up the equivalent of two tanks of gas?

 

I got my file from one of E-tuners here that supports Tephra.

My suggestion is talk to chet or golden and see if they can help you.

I prefer not to release something that is essentially not out in public.

 

problem to be honest is all of those tunners that have used tephra and have never donated to him.

Other than a few e-tunners here and those tunners that are on this sub forum are probably one of the only few tunners that support him.
