Is your cable finicky?
First off let me say that i treated this cable a little rough and I am not bashing the cable maker or anything of the sort.
I have never seen anyone open up one of these before. This is what i found

The green wire is barely hanging on and the black wire is broken completely. (i blacked out the rest of the circuit board in case it is sensitive)
I am going to be re-soldering a new cable in a bit so hopefully it works.

Yeah you have to careful with them. I lost my first cable when pulling it out of the car (with not a lot of force mind you) and pulled one of the wires out. Luckily I had just bought my 2nd backup cable so....

I ended up sacrificing an old black berry usb cable last night and resoldering it in there.
Works like a freakin charm. I will be a little more careful with the cable this time around for sure lol
