Hmmm I have had mine freeze mid flash with no ill effects.

Maybe unplug the Battery for a min and then try again ?

I doubt you bricked your ecu.

thanks for your reply. I left the car alone for a few minutes. Normally I dock my laptop on the docking station which has the usb and serial cable (wideband) connected to it, but I disconnected the usb from the docking station and connected it to the laptop directly. Then it flashed correctly! I think the connection to the docking station was not good.
