Weird timing issue
Weird timing issue
Hello guys, i just switched to 88592715 rom on my edm evo 9 and having some weird issues.
First of all when the car is cold, it takes like 4-5 minutes for timings to became to normal. Before that timings jump from 5 to -8 etc.. At that time car is running very rich and idle is stumbling.
After a few minutes timings come to the normal of 27-29 degrees, afr's became normal and also the idle too.
Attached is a log from a cold start.
What could be the reason and fix ? Any ideas will help, Thanks

There are timing trim tables for things including low engine temp here m.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=365109&page=6
I'm on my phone so that's the mobile version of the page though sorry. You could Google "new maps for evo 7 and 9" and go to page 6 of the evom thread by that title to get the XML for your rom instead. There's another thread somewhere about trims too.
